Good luck! A wonderful wild experience awaits and will surely be hugely nourishing as well as exhausting / exhilarating. Looking forward to reading & joining in when possible :-)
Good luck with the Coast to Coast! My partner did it with his daughter last year - took 3 weeks, 200 and something miles of heathery amazingness! I met them at Boggle Hole YHA, Robin Hood's Bay.. having walked just about 0 miles. Respect! Good luck!
I’ve had a lifelong ambition to walk the coast to coast, but there again I’ve had ambitions at times to walk most of Britain’s long distance paths and the only one I’ve ever managed in its entirety is the very modest Wolds Way. At my age, with each year that passes the probability of completing any of them decreases significantly! But the coast to coast is still very tempting, taking in 3 National Parks and most of the best countryside the north of England can offer. So at least I can enjoy reading about you doing it, which will be a lot easier and more comfortable. Not sure if it’s Kim or Clare posting this, but good luck!
We stayed in Crosby Garret last week. A beautiful stop on the Coast to Coast. Take care and enjoy the nature and past industry around.

I’m so happy to hear about this, Clare. It sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I hope you and Niamh make beautiful, unforgettable memories.
